Live Wedding Painting

My Process:

Oh hi there! You’re probably wondering how this whole “live wedding painting” thing works, let me show you!

Your first step will be to reserve your wedding date ( you can check my availability on my storefront on the Knot, I added a link below). Once your date is secured, we can work together to select a painting style and package that works best for you.  We'll schedule a meeting at your venue approximately one month before your wedding date, which will allow us to find a perfect spot to take pictures the day of your wedding. (If logistics make that difficult, we can work from available photos).

From there, I'll start visualizing your painting and creating a custom color palette. I'll put together a small scale mock up of your painting, showcasing your location and general aesthetic. You'll get a sneak preview of the concept that we can review together.

Once your special day is here, I'll arrive early to set up my painting spot somewhere visible to guests. I'll need space about 6x6', an outlet nearby, and running water not too far away.

Painting Styles:

Misty Romance

Within the "Misty Romance" style you can expect to see a good representation of yourselves (you’ll be the main focus) the colors will be more subdued and hazy- picture a romantic stroll in a misty European town, that’s what I’m going for here. The venue can be represented here as well, however it will be in a more muted and hazy fashion, you’ll know where it’s from, but guests looking at your painting hung up on your wall may take a moment to realize.

Or

Radiant Love

“Radiant Love” has more vibrant colors and everything stands out just about the same. You’ll still be the focus here, but the colors will not separate you from the background as much as they do in “Misty Romance” pieces. These paintings tend to stand out more because of the vibrant colors that go with them.

With this style you will be able to help pick out a basic color palette that your painting will be painted in.

Painting Love Stories

Cheers to Forever

14x18 canvas

This is a great choice if you're looking to have a more intimate painting of the two of you- I can still incorporate parts of the venue, but you'll be the shining stars.

With this size there is a chance your painting could be finished on location, however it is likely I will need to take it back to my studio for final touches.

Professional grade watercolor and gouache paints, sealing of the canvas and ready to frame.

Starting at $1,750

Head Over Heels

16x20 canvas

This package works well to capture more of the venue while still being able to focus on the bride and groom.

I will begin painting as soon as possible on location, but once the night has wrapped up I will take your painting back to my studio to complete.

Professional grade watercolor and gouache paints, sealing of the canvas and ready to frame.

The Greatest Adventure

18x24 canvas

This is a wonderful size to be able to show off your wedding venue, while still keeping you as the focus of the piece.

I will begin painting as soon as possible on location, but once the night has wrapped up I will take your painting back to my studio to complete.

A Grande Romance

**This package is only available in the "Misty Romance" style**

20x30 canvas

With the extra space and time I would also be able to add up to four additional people into your painting. This package works especially well if you've got a large guest count and would like more people to be able to watch the process unfold.

Basic info:

A contract will be sent to you via email, you will need to fill this out and pay the retainer fee before I will be able to reserve your wedding date in my calendar.
A nonrefundable $500 retainer will be due upon booking to reserve your wedding date; this will go towards the total cost of the painting. I am happy to set up a payment plan to break the total cost up into 4-6 payments, however, the final payment will be due the day of the wedding.
Most paintings will fall within the starting price, however the price may go up depending upon the desired level of detail, potential to go over the allotted time, and location.

No refunds will be made, however I will do my best to make sure you are thrilled with your painting!

Different canvas sizes are available upon request.
